1220°C Glossy Brown

1220°C Glossy Brown
Cone 7 / 1220ºC
Oxidation atmosphere
A glossy brown glaze with subtle pale brown crystal formations, breaking to beige on rims and edges. This is a stable glaze with medium fluidity when it is fired to cone 7.
The images show the glaze applied over a slightly speckled stoneware fired to cone 7 in an oxidation atmosphere and cooled slowly. Please note that results may vary depending on the kiln, the chemical composition of raw materials, and the type of stoneware.
This glaze recipe contains American Ferro Frit 3134 and nickel oxide.
