1190°C Magnesium Matte Red Brown

1190°C Magnesium Matte Red Brown
Cone 6 / 1190ºC
Oxidation atmosphere
A matte red brown glaze with a smooth, pebble-like surface. This is a stable glaze with medium fluidity when it is fired to 1190°C, slightly more fluid with more movement when it is fired to 1200ºC.
The images show the glaze applied over a slightly speckled stoneware fired to 1190°C in an oxidation atmosphere and cooled slowly. Results may vary slightly depending on the kiln, the chemical composition of raw materials, and the type of stoneware.
